To All Our Patients
This has truly been a challenging week for all of us as we try to stay on top of the everchanging news and often conflicting messages related to COVID 19. Balancing calm with a careful dose of discretion is important. We want you to know that we are ‘around’ and we are making every effort to be available, but there has been a huge paradigm shift from primarily office based visits to mostly telephone and video ‘visits’. We recognize that this has led to a period of adjustment for you, as it has for us. We miss seeing you in person! But we want to help ‘flatten the curve’ by reducing opportunities for spread. Frankly, our office looks like a ghost town.
So, to reach our goal of protecting all of us, we are introducing the following new measures:
- NO WALK INS will be allowed. If you do not have an appointment, you will not be seen.
*******If you have already have an scheduled appointment, you will be contacted by a secretary or your doctor to determine whether you can come into the office or instead be switched to a telephone or video appointment. If deemed necessary, you will be booked at a later date. The OMA is recommending postponing appointments such as annual physicals in three months’ time. If you need an appointment, please call (416-782-6111) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
*******If you have been asked to come in for bloodwork, you will be given a scheduled appointment time to come to the lab
- If you have an appointment, you must arrive ON TIME. If you are 15 minutes late, you will have to rebook your appointment. This way we can control the number of people sitting in the waiting room.
- Patients must come to the office UNESCORTED. No one can be accompanied for an appointment unless the appointment is for a child, a senior or someone requiring a caregiver for health reasons.
We appreciate your cooperation as we continue to look out for everyone’s safety and well-being.
